These are some of the questions we receive, which we are happy to discuss with you. Because let's be honest: when you first want to hang your records on the wall, a lot of things immediately come to mind. Will I damage my records? Will my gatefold fit? Can I still take the record out to listen to it? We've listed the answers.

Can I damage my record by hanging it on the wall?

This is by far the most frequently asked question we get, and we completely understand it. You've invested in a beautiful collection and don't want to ruin it by hanging it decoratively.

The short answer: no, if you do it right. The only thing you really need to consider is direct sunlight. UV rays affect the vinyl and can warp your record over time. The cover also fades faster than you think if the sun hits it every day. So always hang your records in a place without direct sun.

Furthermore, we recommend changing your records regularly. I do this at least once a season. This keeps your wall fresh, you continue to enjoy different covers, and you don't give any record the chance to hang in the same spot for too long. If you keep this up and stay out of the sun, nothing will happen to your records.

Do gatefolds also fit into your hanging system?

Yes, absolutely. We offer two types of hanging systems: a single and a double version. Gatefolds, double albums, and covers with a thicker booklet fit perfectly in the double variant.

The difference lies in the width of the holder:

  • Sticky single: suitable for album covers up to 0.5 cm thick (one LP)
  • Sticky double: suitable for album covers up to 0.8 cm thick (two LPs or a thicker booklet)

Please check this carefully before ordering, so you don't encounter any surprises. Most standard albums fit in the single version, but if you're in doubt? Just grab the double. You can also order a mix of both from us if your collection is diverse. View our full assortment to see which option suits you.

Do you see the mounting or does it disappear?

Our system has a minimalist design. We deliberately chose to let the record cover be central, not the holder. The Sticky is small, sleek, and hardly noticeable. What you see is the cover, exactly as it should be.

Soon we will also be launching a transparent version of our hanging system. Then you won't see any of the mounting at all, and it will look as if your record is floating on the wall. Keep an eye on our latest products if you want to be the first to know when they are available.

Can I easily remove the record to listen to it?

Absolutely, and this is precisely one of the things we are proud of. Many other systems mean you almost never take your record off the wall because it's such a hassle. Unscrewing clips, fingerprints on the glass, realigning everything. No thanks.

Our system is open at the top. You simply slide the cover out, take the record out, put the empty cover back, and you're spinning. Then you slide the cover with the record back in. Done. The entire system just stays on the wall. This way, you hang your favorite records without them becoming out of reach.

Do I need to take the record out of the sleeve when I hang it up?

No, and that's precisely the point. With our system, you don't have to think about that. You simply hang the cover with the record inside. No hassle with separate storage, no loose records ending up in a corner somewhere.

Some people choose to hang only the cover and store the records separately. That's fine if you have a large collection and want more overview. But if you also want to keep playing your records, then that's not necessary at all with our system. Record in, on the wall, done. And if you want to play it? Slide it out, put it on, and then slide it back in. That's how simple it works. Check our FAQ page if you have any more questions about how the system works.

Do records that hang on the wall for a long time get damaged?

This ties into the first question, but deserves its own answer. Because we hear it quite often: "I've had them hanging for months, is something wrong?"

No, there's nothing wrong. Records hanging on the wall out of the sun do not get damaged. Vinyl is sturdier than it sometimes seems. As long as you don't place them in direct sun and rotate them occasionally, nothing will happen to them. You really don't need to rebuild your wall every week, but rotating once a season keeps it nice and fresh.

In short: no sun, do rotate, then your collection will last for years on the wall.
